Espar heater reset near Seattle?

Hello,

The Espar Airtronic on my non-SMB has, I think, locked out due to too many unsuccessful start attempts. I'm pretty sure I've found/fixed the problem thanks to help from Greg at Lubrication Specialist (priming, and possibly a seized fuel metering pump) but now I need to clear the fault code to try again.

Is there anyone around Kirkland, Seattle, or the Eastside who has a controller capable of resetting fault codes? I believe it's just a matter of plugging it in, but I've never used or seen one before. I will of course bring beer for your trouble!

Heading to the ski hill this weekend, but my wife will shut that plan down if there's no heat in the van

Thanks very much!
Mike.

I thought that simply unplugging the unit from power for a few minutes and replugging would fix that. I've done that numerous times.

Re: Espar heater reset near Seattle?

Definitely try pulling the fuse for a bit to reset. It seems that did the trick for mine, though I'm not sure it ever locked up. I do know that I ran through a LOT of cycles trying to get it fired up after it got coked up with carbon.

If you have any carbon / sputtering issues it may be worth trying to run a little kerosene through it. Mine spit all sorts of carbon bits out while doing a good 10-20 minute clean out using kerosene. Of course I'm a bit more proactive about running it on high before shutting it down now and haven't had any issues.
