Fabric advice for 1972 SMB

We are about to re-upholster the sofa in back and the penthouse bed and want a pattern of some kind like plaid or stripes but the local places only have solids to choose from ( plus a tweed or herring bone pattern). I know about SMS but really do not ant to pay $90 a yard. What do you think of an outdoor furniture fabric? Like the stuff at sunbrella etc....We have found a pattern we like, its 100% polyester, fade resistant, $15 a yard etc.... although it is a bit "rugged feeling" i.e not soft and comfy like I would prefer. This is our first rv and do not know if the lack of softness will be a bummer or not.As far as the front seats we are going with a more comfortable solid fabric so that not an issue.[photo][/photo]

Re: Fabric advice for 1972 SMB

Well if you throw a topper on the PH bed, how it feels wouldn't matter, but being you don't really look at it like the sofa, color isn't much of an issue eiither IMO. As for the bench seat, the color and pattern you've picked is classic looking. Don't know have any stats that material. Will it stain, does bleed colors, how does it react to fire or will it produce any strange oders in warm weather? Those are just a few things I would want to know before dumping money into something that might not work.
