That'll work, but leaks never get better on their own. Would you rather fix it at home or on the road....
Good point. Here's a new issue that cropped up on me. When I drain the freshwater tank using the release valve on the bottom of the tank all I get is a slow trickle. Any thoughts?

Is the tank ventilated at all? Try opening where you fil the tank. Bit of a reach, as I think you would get more than a trickle, probably more like burping, if air couldn't get in to replace the water that's draining.

Re: Freshwater Tank Leaks

Not sure what your definition of a slow trickle is, but these tanks don't drain very fast. Best option is to use the pump (another reason to fix ) to pump the water out. Only takes a few minutes that way. I don't have a gray water tank, so I just open the sink faucet and let 'er go right thru to the ground.

Re: Freshwater Tank Leaks

My tank drains fast enough, about what I'd expect from gravity and a 1/2" tube. The tube is open and hanging down from the fresh water tank, I've had to fish out another of my drain tubes to clear it.

Agree with the other responses and add that you can park on an incline to get the last bit of water out of the tank via the tank drain line. The pump's not going to get at that...

Just recently refilled my tank for the spring season and found even after running the hose for a minute there was a lot of sediment coming from the tap. Had to use the tank drain line to empty the tank of this since I didn't want to run it through the filter using the pump drain method.

Lesson learned, run the spigot for a minute and check for water clarity but using a white cup first. Better yet, buy a filter to use at the end of the hose.
