so i bot a 1987 e-250... it had (i have taken them out) the gaucho seats facing each other in the back....not sure what that style was called...
anyway i want to use one of the gaucho seats (if possible) to create a version of the EB-50 floor plan... i will build a platform behind it that is the back half of the bed when the couch part folds down....the seat belt system obviously needs to be figured out as well....
instead of going out and buying a new couch/bed system i though it might be possible to just make a new taller fold-down top for the gaucho.... i can't believe anyone ever found those to be comfortable....
so one of the issues is that there is a metal bar/bracket that holds the top in place....i could add something to make it taller but i would prefer to not have it at all since it takes away from the sleeping area and looks very uncomfortable to hit with a leg/knee/head.....
has anyone ever done this? any thoughts would be most appreciated!! i'm going to try and attach a few photos.... hope it works!!! choochee from vermont
