You can also take a link or 2 out of you spring chain, which will and more tension to the lifting..

I've got one of the Aluminess Air lifters, though I don't know if it is the 'large' version, as I never heard that there were two versions. Since I have onboard ExtremeAir and an air tank, that device works just fine. I'm glad I had an air line quick disconnect installed on the floor of the small storage area under the sink (RB-50). I keep a short length of light duty plastic tubing fitted with a QD at one end and an air chuck on the other. I pushed that damn top up with my back for about 7 years before finally getting some relief (and before any injuries I'm happy to say).
