If you don't have a built in cabinet, I've heard of people putting them in a large plastic tote with a lid. That will be my plan of attack when it gets to that point of needing a porta potty (Baja trip?).

Shuttlepilot, that's a slick solution. I thought of doing that on every one of the interiors I've done and in the end skipped it in favor of more cabinet/drawer/closet space and just put the porta potty in the back and strapped it in.

My family (or should I say my wife and daughter) love having a PP on board
One thing that's not obvious when planning where to put it is how much shoulder room you really need while using the thing. If you're an average size adult you need a little wiggle room above it which is why the rear center has always been where we set ours at night, or between the front seats which we found to be the best place. It's amazing to me how little smell, really no smell, modern PP's have so we've never minded putting it there, but there's always a little paranoia by yours truly about a spill or splash right there around the front seats. OK, sorry, it's a crappy subject.

We don't put ours away. The bottom half is strapped to the floor and the fresh water tank placed on top.

Porta-Potti (small one) rides in shower pan, slides under adjacent bed while showering. Trifold door conceals bathroom when not in use, opens across aisle to provide private dry bathroom with separate shower stall and sink.

THANKS EVERYONE for the toilette tours. Great stuff. I do know that I:
1. want to be able to use the unit where it gets stationed (Not in and out of a cabinet)
2. will wait for next rig to have a van master bath (sink/shower/toilet)

Back to my original Concept A to enclose potty unit where it will be set- maybe enclosure that transforms into a partition for privacy.
