I posted a picture on a different thread titled: "Generator versus idling small diesel?" I wrote a lot (way too much actually) in that thread.

Not sure if this link will take you there:
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=11369&start=45

I don't want to hijack this thread, so if you guys want to see more details I can start a new thread in the homebuilt section (assuming that's where it belongs) and post more detailed pictures of how I installed it (not to say that's the best way or even a good way for that matter). While visiting family I have access to a desktop computer which makes it easier to type than from my iPad, but I can pull the AC out (which takes seconds) and take pictures behind it if needed to show the vents through floor. More details pictures than that would have to be from my desktop at home which I don't have access to right now.

Re: Rear Air Conditioner + Portable Generator

Hijack away. However, to keep the Admin happy, probably better to start new thread called Installing Window A/C or something. In fact, I'm going to start one myself today.

"After further review", I think I'll drop the ClimateRight idea. I did find out they have the 5,000 BTU on closeout special in stock for $500. The reviews and posts on SMBF convince me there might be a problem with the China unit actually cooling enough. Plus, they rec'd an 8,000 for the van w/ Penthouse. The 8 is to big to lay flat. I can take it apart and make it fit; but it'd void the warranty. So . . . nevermind.
