What's Behind All the Plastic ?
Opening up my search a bit and looking into a couple Passenger, Explorer Conversion vans or Club Wagon based vans.
Many offered are newer with decent mileage, raised tops and all the fancy trimmings....
I am wondering what is behind all the plastic on the walls, carpets on the floors and the fuzzy headliner. Is it a head start or a PITA ?
Am I going have to remove it all to sound proof and insulate anyway for a conservative build along the lines of a RB 50 to get my feet wet ?

The plastic hides some wiring and if the van has a remote entry then it also hides the control box. The headliner hides more wires. The carpet hides the metal floor. All three are there to beautify the interior. All three are reasonably easy to take out. Be sure to check for rust under the carpet before buying.

Yep, Larrie pretty much summed it up.
Some say there are dragons under the plastic. Others say unicorns. Still others say sugar plum fairies.
All I've ever found is pocket change, Happy Meal toys, wiring and sheet metal. Oh, and this is VERY important. AIR! There's a ton of dead space behind all of that plastic.

While we're looking at that Ford....
Do you guys think it's possible to add a Poptop to a Hightop like this ?
