I now have Scott's light bulbs in my van and I can see again. They work really well. Thank you so much Scott

It's been a busy couple of weeks but I'm excited to see so many people taking advantage of the discount available for this forum. Here are a few examples of the sets we have completed.

I ordered mine yesterday. I ordered a spare bulb, but not a spare ballast.
Mistake?

Nope, you will be fine. The warranty returns on our current Hylux ballast offerings have been hovering at a hair above zero. In any case if you want a spare we stock them so that won't be a problem.

In addition to the custom built headlights we also sell LED taillights. Through the month of February you can use coupon code LEDTAILS to save 10% on any of the three versions we sell (Ruby Red, Bermuda Black or Smoke). Be sure to include the LED flasher relay and LED reverse light bulbs to make a complete package!

Scott - Ready to pull the trigger on a set of your Rear brake lights but need some info...I'm trying to make a decision between the Ruby Red & Bermuda Black. Leaning towards the black but have some concern the brightness output of the LED's is toned down because of the darker housing, Have you found this to be the case?

Also, you mentioned upgrading the back-up light which you also offer. Those LED's apparently put out about 400 lumen, but I can find the bulb size listed anywhere (tried a couple search's). I'm inquiring because I would like the strongest possible and came across these claiming 1200 lumen for each bulb...a dramatic difference.

Would these work in that housing? Any reason you see in which these shouldn't be used?

As always, appreciate your thoughts & advise.

One real benefit of a spare ballast is troubleshooting...first steps involve swapping ballasts...that would be a major event on my van, so I did order one after the fact, after a one time (evening) headlight that did not start...next morning after researching, went out to dive in and it did not repeat...

Insurance....
Light bulbs are an easy swap, and I do have a spare as well...

Twoxentrix,

In terms of housing color affecting the output of the taillights I haven't seen any differences between the Ruby Red and Bermuda Black units. In simple terms the color is aesthetic only.

Be careful with output numbers listed for LED bulbs...nearly all of the generic bulbs are rated at 100% chip capacity output. This means you are looking at an operating range way outside of an actual vehicle's ability (most are rated at around 36v input). The reverse bulbs are 3156 based units. I can't comment on the amazon parts other than I no longer source any of my products from non-reputable places claiming real high output numbers. For the highest possible output see the following item I can also source:
