Ford E-Series Van OEM Steering Damper Kit

I am offering the original Ford E-Series steering damper assembly kits for sale. These kits fit all the 2wd van chassis combinations from '92-current and come with the original frame and drag link mounts, hardware, and a brand new Monroe SC2955 damper. This kit will work with stock height or minimal lift 2wd van platforms. Make your van track straighter and avoid those nasty bumpsteer situations that can be dangerous with these vans as they age. It is an easy kit to install and makes a drastic difference in the handling and steering characteristics of the van's I-beam chassis design. These parts are nearly $200 from the Ford dealer but I am offering them for $120 shipped to you and ready to go. I will provide installation instructions to make the job as easy as possible. PM or email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

My personal van has the assembly installed with a 2" spacer lift as shown in the photos below. Your set comes sandblasted and freshly painted.

Just to be clear, are these used parts, but with the new damper cartridge?

Re: Ford E-Series Van OEM Steering Damper Kit

When I inquired at my Ford dealer a year or so ago, they said Ford did not have any such kit.

There's probably not an OEM kit, but maybe you can piece it together from the dealer.

Maybe it was part of a package? My 05 has one.

Correct, these are used parts that have been sandblasted and given a fresh coat of paint. For the discerning eye they lack the Ford stickers that indicate the PN. The two brackets come with the hardware needed and a brand new OEM replacement shock from Monroe (SC2955). These items can be purchased new from the dealer, but at a cost of over $200 it seems prohibitive. My offering is aimed at the person who wants the assembly Ford should have offered on all vans when they left the factory, but at a price point that is much easier to get along with.

Re: Ford E-Series Van OEM Steering Damper Kit

I have that bracket brand new which I will give away for postage when I find it later this Summer. I ordered the bracket from Ford, it was used on their ambulance package. However, I never used it because I had DW which I figured it wouldn't cure. Instead, I am a big advocate of the dual opposing gas pressurized shock setup in my post here, it links back to the Quadvan Death Wobble post on this forum and others:

Let's keep this thread dedicated to those interested in this product. Every setup has their advantages, but for those who want the OEM components on their 2wd vans this is the place to get it.

For the other members, take this guy up on his offer to give this part away....they are very difficult to find and pricey when you do!

Additional photos of the actual parts rather than the dirty ones on my personal van.
