......And it's magic. That and a $500 5-star tune and you can make a real hot rod out of a V10.

Having had the 7.3 and now the V10 for me it is the V10 all the way. I liked the 7.3 in many ways but the V10 can act civil when needed and no EGTs to constantly monitor in the hills. The 5 speed tranny is also a nice extra over the 7.3. Still the 7.3 has its own benefits that have been covered.

Good luck on your search!
Eric

Hello all, just a quick update, but first, thanks to all for all the insight and valuable information. Great stuff! The update being that I've found a van, settled on a price, and am in the process of setting up the logistics for picking it up. Details and pics to follow, but in short, it's very close to what I set out to buy, a 2000 EB30, Quigley, 7.3. All it's lacking is front/rear Aluminess bumpers, so any advice on aquiring those outside of going direct to Aluminess would be appreciated (but that seems to be the only way to go). And I'm going to paint the wheels black, just because. I look forward to being an owner within a week, and will post some "before" pics of the road trip home, and some "after" pics with the bumpers.

Thanks Tim, yeah quicker than I expected. I was hoping to have the patience to at least make it to the Fall "selling season", but didn't even make it that far. Now I've got a tough decisions to make on an October trip I'm taking from California to Glacier National Park, and Banff and Jasper. Honda Africa Twin, as originally planned, or SMB? Or, tow the bike and have the best of both worlds, hmmmm.

Kill two birds with one stone. Aluminess is just up the road from Agile OffRoad. Can even let Agile order/install the bumpers.
