Hi folks!

Thanks for all the great info here!

Im building a '99 powerstroke e350 4x. We spend 50-60 nights a year traveling, And our land rover just wasnt cutting it anymore. Originally bought a 92 quigley ambo with 116k original miles... The body was horribly rusted and I had an impossible time finding a replacement. So we just bought a new van.

Looking forward to contributing something!

Old van...

Congratulations. Great colour. Looks clean & rust free? I love my Yellow 08 SMB. Likewise you'll enjoy the RED!
Cheers, Doug.

Thanks guys. It is the cleanest cargo Ive seen. no rust or other damage. 7.3 PSD.
I spent the last week converting it to 4x4 using some ujoint parts and some of my own. Super-duty axles, 35" tires.

I am getting a few parts together to use electronic shift 4x4 instead of some hairy shifter thru the isle.

Tuesday it gets 4.56 gears and ARB lockers. We will build out the interior, and likely have CCV do one of their poptops on it.

This pic was taken yesterday...Almost there!

Is this the van that was trying to sell the rear axle in PDX on Craigslist? It looks good! I was wondering what direction you were gonna go if it is indeed that same one.

One and the same. The fella that bought the axle is retrofitting into a wrangler.
