New - NorCal

Hey All!

New to the SMB world! Picked her up last Friday in Bend, Or. Spent a few nights in the forest on the way home to break her in!

124K Miles, 6.0, Quigley, I believe it's considered an RB-50 layout, but it has limited rear cabinets, electric only, and no water.

A couple paint issues to clean up, but it has the Agile Offroad Suspension and a bunch of Aluminess Stuff on the outside.

Hi there newbie,
Welcome to the “ new” world. These rigs really do change your life! For starters, they have many more
uses than just “ camping”. For starters, they come in
very handy for long-distance medical trips. That way you have a place to stay if you can’t make it there and back in a single day. I’ve done that with mine several times, and also for gem shows, concerts, assorted get togethers and so on.
You say you only have “ electric” and I am wondering if you mean “ plug-in” only? And house batteries of course.
If so, I can relate since my van’s previous owner removed the entire propane system! Now trying to decide between solar or replacing the propane system? So was wondering if either is in your future
plans for your new “ baby”?
Just curious, as most of us seem to end up making
some kinds of changes.
Whatever, glad you’ve found your dream vehicle and
have joined the forum.
Again, welcome!

Hey I have what I think is the same or very similar Sportsmobile. I have a 2008 ford e350 6.0 diesel, quigley 4x4 SMB Aluminess all around. If we have the same ones I have some good things I have learned and done mechanically to mine that may help you out and vice versa. Congratulations on you’re great looking SMB.
