Dude, bad luck lately!

On the fob thing that's a code alarm feature. I'd google it or find a dealer.

Skibatical in planning phase. 2017 mid December drive from Vermont to Colorado - meet up with extended family for X-mas...Then to Opus hut (Ophir, CO) for New Years then to Vail area then North/East/West eventually up into British Columbia. All recommendations and comments welcome.

Skibattical underway left VT Dec 19 > Colorado > Crested Butte > Ophir pass > Vail > Boulder > Fort Collins > Vail > Park city UT > Bozman MT > Sand Point Idaho > Whitewater (Nelson BC) > Red Mtn. (Rossland BC) > Whitewater > Revelstoke.....So far so good! Trying to decide where to go after Revelstoke....and when to leave....It just keeps snowing here!

We are using our van as we thought we would, sleeping in it with the top down....all systems are a gogo so far.

Ski season done for us! Amazing Winter to be certain.

Regarding van stuff.... one step forward = one step back.....Over the Winter we had intermittent function of the intermittent wipers...I replaced the turn signal/wiper thingy and in doing so seem to have broken a piece of the pot metal ignition switch....a tiny bit with a wire on it broke when I was removing the ignition switch to facilitate replacement of the multi function unit....The wipers etc all work now but there is a chime any time the driver's door is open (regardless of headlights being on/off or key in/out of the ignition and also now the starting battery drains if the van sits for a bit....

Anyone have any guidance on trouble shooting this....Should I replace the ignition switch?...Haven't dug into it yet ....
