  • 2013: New 12V outlets and interior reading lamps
  • 2015: New electric water pump and full repipe of water lines to galley sink (Pex)
  • 2017: All engine hoses replaced
  • 2017: New muffler
  • 2017: New 84 mo engine battery
  • 2018: New tires
It’s not perfect:
  • Speedometer doesn't always work; we use our GPS to determine speed.
  • As designed by Sportsmobile back in 1991, a pressure regulator is needed to hook up to city water. This is very important. Failure to do so will blow all the water pipe seals. Pressure regulator and hose included with van for free.
  • Various external dings, a couple of rust spots and some stains on the popup canvas. This baby has been used -- and loved.
  • Ignition lock is a replacement and keyed differently from door lock.
  • Something we meant to get to but never did was a cutoff switch for the fridge which is the main power draw for the vehicle.
  • Finally, this beauty has state of the art features for 1991. Which means that there’s a bit of a learning curve for understanding how to work and maintain everything. We have checklists and a manual binder for you to use.

You're the first one to respond. What did you pay for it?

Garage
A couple years back I paid $9000 for a 1990 Ford with 120,000 miles, a very similar floorplan and set of features, but without the awning or front hitch. Camper vans are pretty damn hot in California right now, though, so I don't know if that's comparable to anywhere else. Two other vans posted to Craigslist in a similar price range were sold before I could even go look at them.

Yours is newer and has lower mileage, so I'd expect it to sell for a bit more, even though Dodges don't seem to be quite as desirable as Fords for some reason.

Van sold for $12K firm in less than a week posted on Craigslist in Oregon. If we had been willing to sell it over a longer time period, we could have gotten more for it.
