1997 Dodge 5.2 poptop value

I need a little help pricing my camper van.I bought a full Class b motor home due to my wife's arthritis. It saddens me because I love my van but love wife more.It is a 97 Dodge 5.2 with 125,000 miles.Thetford Curve, hand pump for dishes with 6 gallon fresh and grey below.Custom cabinets are really nice and hold a lot of stuff. When I transferred everything to the new van it nearly filled the bigger vans cabinets. It has Nexen AT's that I really like and runs great.Very clean inside with no tears in upholstery or penthouse.Ice cold air but a vacuum leak causes it to jump to defrost under heavy load (should I fix before posting?).I'm thinking around $7,000 to $7,500.I won't be offended by comments so be honest.

Re: 1997 Dodge 5.2 poptop value

Basically your value is in the van body and the PH, so I'd look at the book value for the van, add in a percentage of what the PH would cost to add, and have that be your number. Your van itself looks very nice. Unfortunately it seems that Dodge vans usually go for less than the comparable Ford SMBs, just because the platform is not as common and doesn't have as many aftermarket accessories, etc., available for it.

The average home build interior only adds significant value if it's really well done and basically in line with what a stock SMB (or other RV) interior would be like. In some cases, it might actually diminish the value of the van. Yours looks functional but not much more than that (at least from the photos), and unless you get the exact perfect buyer, they will likely be thinking about tearing it out or significantly redoing it IMO.

I would clean up the interior a good bit, perhaps enclose those wires and the area where the PortaPotty is, restain/varnish your sink countertop, etc.

Re: 1997 Dodge 5.2 poptop value

^To expand on that.... A Dodge van with 125,000 will have barely any value at all. Maybe a couple thousand at best. Basically, price it for the Penthouse and interior. It'll be subjective, but maybe you'll get lucky and find a Dodge lover.
