2001 prowler fridge problem

So I just got my first camper today and I cant tell if the fridge is working. You dont hear it run and the lights won't come on. I checked outside behind it for the 3 and 5 amp fuse that seem to be good. I was told it would work but kept flipping to gas when hooked to power. I unplugged it and plugged into a drop cord and the lights never came on. What else can I check? Also it's a dometic fridge

Can't determine if the fridge is working?
Turn on, wait 30 mins feel the interior walls for cold or warm.
Model # would help us to help you...

Is this in a Prowler travel trailer? You're on the Sportsmobile Forum. Most of us are glad to help but not too keen on travel trailers. Our vans are very different. If so, have you tried IRV2 or the Open Roads Forum? Huge TT sections there.
