Banks 49136

Does the Banks 49136 headers set fit the Quigley van v10?
I read a article of insrall on 2000 4wd Escursion . It looks like it would fit?

Did a search and found nothing, but i am old too.

Carringb has Banks headers on his V10 I’m pretty sure. Do a search for them here to see what he’s said about them or maybe he will chime in. Saw you made another post about towing with a V10. I’m not about mileage but I know he tows a lot and isn’t unhappy about his power situation.

Called Banks they said no at first nothing fits then they remembered me. So yes Quigley has in past bought the f250 4x4 set, but as Banks say Quigley had to modify driver side header and cross over.
Trying to find Carringb to ask what he had to do?

I've talked to them as well, and they said it would not fit the driver side.

QuadVan installed the regular long-headers on all the Chinooks they did, but modified the driver side as well. John says the JBA shorty headers fit great on a 4x4, but does require shimming one of the motor mounts slightly. I decided against the JBAs because they have a thinner flange (3/8") than the Banks (1/2") and for how much I'm towing, I was skeptical they would hold up.

I haven't modified my long-tube header yet. I might try a 2-piece front driveline first. I think it'll fit as-is this way, along with changing the crossover pipe. Chopping and re-welding the headers is the backup plan.

I have the long tube set on my 2wd. I do not think they can be modified. They are leavel with oil pan, way to low. I saw a youtube of guy installing the banks f250 on excursion 4x4. Looks the same to my. But banks says no. Quigley told banks they had to move tubes and cross over. But to me i cant see if different transfercase. Excursion was a 2000 so 4sp auto

I agree with you about flange thickness my long tubes have been on my 2002 since new 208000 never even retightened bolts. Only thing i had was to reweld some gaurds that finally broke. Best headers ever. I am 63 years old gear head
