So you're saying a 144" wheelbase Sprinter is too long to have good clearance? I was thinking of going with a 170" Sprinter! Maybe I need to reconsider. I could get the coolest van in the world but if it can't perform in the sand I'm out of luck.
There is no universally good answer but if you have a 4x4 van that's not a 144 inch wheel base sprinter you'll probably be fine anywhere a pickup would be.
I'd love to get a better idea of what you mean here. Sprinters aren't so good off-road? 144 is better or worse off-road than 170?
