There is no "best" tire. Every van is different and so are tastes, wants, needs. I'm more concerned about snow that sand and am rarely in the mud. What's best for me is not best for someone who's hitting the beach.

Anyhoo, my flavor of the month is the Toyo ATII. That's after years of BFGs and followed by a mostly happy user experience with GY Duratracs.

My only advice is to choose something that can be replaced locally to where you live and/or travel.

Great tire

I run Cooper Discoverer STT Pro, LT325/65R18 at 65 psi. The tire is fabulous and I will not run anything else. Everything about it is terrific - wear, traction, noise, ride quality.

My van weighs 11,000 pounds. I will replace these with the same thing when they wear out.

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers going on this week in 295/70-17.
I now have worn out Toyo MT's - been a very noisy tire.
Previous to that it was Nitto AT tires in 285/70-17. These tires would not stay balanced for some reason - had 'em balanced several times.
I hope the Nitto Ridge Grapplers are good to me, and quieter!.
I have been running 60-65 psi in my 8600 lb V-10 E350...
