285/75/16. Unsure of the gearing but will try and track it down. It is a quigley conversion with a recent Agile RIP (awesome upgrade!).

I did get 13 mpg once but that was in Yellowstone where the speed limit was 45 mph. My van only has 7,000 miles so it likely isn't fully broken in yet.
Nice that's pretty good for a brand new rig. Wonder if the mpg will improve or drop as it breaks in more. Good to know though by any chance would you happen to know what gearing your running and what size tires?

I have 4.1 gears and pretty sure my tires are 285 70 17. They are whatever size SMB puts on their conversions. Need to get my van out more & break it in.

Thanks appreciate that. It should say right on the rear axel if looking from the back at it. Yeah I have read into the agile rip upgrade and would definitely look into and consider it.

Nice yeah I hear you. I have to get into another one ASAP! I've been without mine now for 2 weeks and it's a killer. Still on the hunt for a never van to start with.

Got my worst and best highway mileage this past trip. Same road up and back. Heading south into a killer headwind between 65-70mph got me 8.5. On the way back a week later around 60mph got.......11.2!

On my 1st SMB, a 2001 Quigley V10 on 33" MTs, the PO had installed a full MagnaFlow exhaust system and a Tuner (can't remember which one) and it was 12 mpg all day long. Didn't matter if in the Mtns or City, Towing or not, at 55 or 75 mph. An absolute beast and it had a sweet, not obnoxious grumble to it. Don't think I could tolerate the power from the gas V8 out West with the mtns and altitude (unless it's the diesel V8...). Would rather have power on tap vs being at it's upper limits all the time

Drove a 5.8 2WD with 285 tires, 3.73 posi for 120k+ miles loaded to >8000# carefully maintained. The speedo/odo was off by about 5% (low), and the road mileage readings averaged ~14.7mpg....In higher elevations it would average in the 16s, mountains 14.5. Best mileage 18, worst, 12.5. These numbers can be bumped by the true adjusted mileage, so true mileages are about +0.7mpg.....But this is driving at 63-64 (except worst mileage quote). As soon as you go over 65 the mileage drops dramatically....At 70 that 14.5 drops about 2mpg....
Since this is about mileage, slowing down below 70 really makes a difference with a V8. Maybe a little less with a V10, but my V10 experience (highway light trailer 70mpg 4000miles) was in the 8-9mpg region....
So if you are worried about mileage go slowly, if not, put your foot in, get there fast and don't complain about the bills!.....

PS The 5.8 gets about the same mileage as my 5.4 3.73......
