Alfred Hitchcock was right. We have the same problem here in Yellowstone The birds love to eat the seats off Harleys never seen them eating a Jap bike. any What one of the guy did last year was bring a transistor radio and put it under the bike left it on a talk radio channel and It seemed to work that time I bet if you cleaned the rubber with windex to get the dead bugs off before you left the van it might help.
maybe even poping the top.

Mine is really soft, so is the replacement piece I have on hand. And I've never been able to get those plastic pins out without destroying them.
