Re: danhard servicing and repair

I would emphatically NOT get the Danhard AC system again. It is just too loud both inside and outside, so much so that it is obnoxious. I am embarrassed to run it around other campers especially tent campers plus my wife can't sleep with the noise it makes inside. Even though I paid big money for it, I am currently exploring installing a portable AC unit. I am sorry that I wasted my money on this thing.

Re: danhard servicing and repair

i suspected as much. I am not going to get sportsmobile because they cannot tell me how to get Danhard serviced if you do not live near sportsmobile.

I have decided to get roadtrek ranger

Re: danhard servicing and repair

Roadtrek's are a sharp looking well made units but before I decided I was after an off road vehicle I looked at the Roadtreks and felt a little cramped in them compared to my 50-PH. Surprised SMB can't put a rooftop A/C on. They put them on a Sprinter.

roadtrek ranger has the a/c molded into top. does not look like AC.

i need van that does not look like rv. it was either a sportmobile with danhard or roadtrek ranger.

i won't take chance with danhard

Ah, you need stealth? Well I think they are a classy looking vehicle inside and out. I think they offer an all wheel drive versions as well if you need such a thing.

Re: danhard servicing and repair

So I am a little confused.... I thought the move from StarCool to Danhard was making the unit non-proprietary.

And I am with Daveb, I think the Danhard can be worked on by any AC guy. ...and probably by any RV shop as well.

and just as an aside, our Danhard is from 2008 and there have been ZERO issues (knock on wood).

Let me be specific-Sportsmobile cannot tell me the kind of places to look for service for this specific system.

they don't seem to know

you live next to sportsmobile texas-if i lived next to one i might take the chance

Re: danhard servicing and repair

For regular AC repair, I can't find a consolidate list for Mass., there are just too many.
