Ford EB E250 cover and dehumidifier recommendations?

Hi

This is a continuation of a previous posting:
How my Pop-Top Leak was Amended

After a large investment in fixing my Ford EB E250 pop-top this past Spring, and I need to start thinking about winterizing and prevent any future damage; i.e. pop-top leaks or wicking.

Does anybody have some recommendations of where to find a great fitted cover for Ford EB E250?

In addition, while the van is covered, what electric dehumidifier unit should be inside to prevent mold?

Thanks

Re: Ford EB E250 cover and dehumidifier recommendations?

I have a couple that I use on my bass boat. After a wet day of fishing I throw a cover on the boat and turn it on. Works OK and dries W/I a few days when the boat is in the garage. Got it at West Marine http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... sNum=10702

Far as a cover, maybe have a tent and awning shop make you a custom cover?

We use a product called. Dri Z Air in our pop up trailer. It is amazing how much moisture it pulls out of the air. Just set it on the floor and let it do its thing. Empty the water and refill the crystals once in a while and that's it. Find it at Wal Mart or any RV stores if you want to pay double.

As far as covers go, I think that a tight fitting cover will cause more condensation on the inside.

A cover for the top only shouldn't do that if designed correctly. I have a cover for a small trailer made that is constructed out of the same material the truckers use. Lasts forever and is totally waterproof. You could even have a clear plastic cut in where the solar is and at least you'll get a little sun to top off the batteries....that is if you ever get sun up there at all. You just don't want wind flap to cause problems.
I want one of those metal carports.
