Front half rack for Karakoram

After a year of searching after fellow forum members shared pix of a SMB in TX, I gave up the search and We built an aluminum front 1/2 rack for Karakoram,. Took it for a spin through the southwest this week, used it for some water storage and even a platform for a chair. Really is nice to have some more storage upfront. No wind noise. Used front runner gutter mount brackets and it’s super sturdy.

I've been hunting for something like this! Looks perfect.
Which front runner legs did you use? Example (no. 4 leg 170mm)

That is a very nice rack. I've thought of doing something similar, but so many other items ahead on the list.

That's a nice looking useful rack, very creative mounting system too.

Love your van! The front rack with the slant pop top completes the Ford meets Westfalia versatility. Love it.

I'm stunned that you don't have wind noise though. Everything I've put towards the front of an E-series roof was WAY noisy. If it works for you though, congrats!

Ditto! I get noise but I changed to LED bar and not as bad any more!
