Looks like a common issue. BC, no way to keep both. Gonna have to sell it if I want a SMB (funding issue). In fact, have to sell my Chev, crew cab, 1-Ton 4x4 too. In fact, have to sell my '79 convertible Bug as well...

Wife is now, grudgingly, on board with selling the Westy and buying a SMB. She had been complaining about not seeing a SMB in person (she wanted to check one out). On our way to a party in Hood River, this "discussion" was raging. Then, lo, before us, cloaked in a single ray sunshine from the heavens, sat a 2006 SMB. The SMB gods clearly heard my pleas and responded accordingly (as did the football gods, but that's another story). Anyway, got a tour of that SMB and now she's cool. So, I have to finish the electrical upgrade I'm into on the Westy, then sell everything, then go ridiculously into debt once I find that perfect, slightly older, E-350 4x4 SMB.

Disclaimer: There was no single beaming ray of sunshine, it was snowing hard, but it makes for a better story.

Our SMB comes after 20 years with a VW Syncro Adventurewagen (Vanagon with a high top very similar to the SMB Voyager top). I've been coming up with excuses to sell him- too busy, rainy, cold (its all of 45 degrees here in No. Calif.), needs smogging -- but the fact is it's hard to let go of what was hands down my favorite vehicle. At least till the SMB arrived...

BTW, my weife decided that both vans are males, while our cars have always been females. Can't wait to see how she'll deal with a hybrid...
