Nice.
I did the Trans Canada once, but going west to east, ending in Nova Scotia. Was planning to make it to Newfoundland, but ran out of time (about 6 weeks) and ended up taking the ferry to Bar Harbor ME and flying back from Manchester. Didn't have the SMB then, but it was one of the reasons I bought one.
I think it would be even more fun east to west; makes you feel more like a pioneer or Alexander MacKenzie, although I don't think you can drive much of his route, even with 4WD
. The nice thing doing it north of the US border is that the road doesn't have much freeway, once you get a bit west, and so is way more fun to drive. I've been meaning to do it again one of these days, and this time make it all the way to Newfoundland. And spend more time in Québec, esp. up north.
