I like Bbasso bracket plate with the thule mounts. I did bracket plates on my fixed top as well… In hind sight I wish I would have used unistrut on top of the van and mounted the rack to that, I've done a few of these this past month and it's a lot cleaner look.

I only wish my roof was flat.... Damm thing has more curves and contours then the walls of our E-Series!
Doing with the faux mounts was the only way to get a level way...
Insert a few choice words for the designer of my roof.

Four angle brackets worked well for this solar install I did on a friends van. We found the four nearly perfect spots on the roof. 3M 5200 sealant / adhesive for bedding, and through bolted with backing plate. Lowest profile I could get. Also installed the two MaxAir fans. But as Rob said, these type of tops have contours in all directions!
