how many miles per gallon do you get?

I get 12.3 mpg Hwy. I was told by Jim from Amsoil that I should be getting about 15 mpg. I asked Allen at SMB west about my low millage and said his experience has been about 15-17 mpg.

I've got a 6.0 PSD smb 4x4 EB51 running 35's w/456 gears.

Can Ya'll tell me how's your hwy milage and your set up.

around town driving - solid 12mpg
road trips - avg 13-13.5 if I'm not pushing the pedal on the right too hard(ususally cruising at 65-70)

just got a Scanguage 2, should be interesting to watch the mpg's depending on driving style

15-17 mpg? Maybe on a downhill. Really though, until I calibrate my ScanGuage, I don't have a definite answer, but I'm pretty sure it's in the 13mpg ballpark.

The overall weight, lift, tires, bumpers, solar panels all hurt, though I have a larger exhaust which likely helps a small amount. Hopefully I'll repost soon with numbers from a calibrated ScanGuage.

I also have 4:10's, and 285/75/16's mud terrains.

15-17 is one rare rig - if it even really exists at all. I get 14.7mpg on a long trip. That's a combo of 70mph on the highway, 30-50mph on paved county roads and slow crawling in the dirt and 4x4. If I stay at 55mph on good paved roads I do get 15-17, but it's not a realistic number for overall driving. I have an '07 RB, 6.0, 315 tires and 4:10 gears. With the extra weight of your EB and the 4:56 gears, you should get a little less then me. That's with all things being equal - which they aren't....
Also depends how many miles you've got on your rig. It should pick up a little as things wear in. Remember, Alan and Jim are selling stuff so I would think they are stating on the high end of things.

Over the last 49K miles, we've averaged 16.4 mpg. The first 14K miles were 2wd, the rest with 4wd. Some is off road, and about 10K miles towing an SMB trailer loaded with supplies and 2 bicycles. Highest mileage over 2 tanks was 19.4 and lowest was 14.5.

Fuel Mileage: TWOLOST

Vehicle: 2007 Ford E350, EB, SMB 4x4, 6.0L PSD (bone stock), 35x17 tires, 4.56 Gears, Diesel Generator

Overall Average: 12.4
Best: 15.6
Worst: 8.1

Usage Graph: (x-axis = fillup number, y-axis = mpg)

Notes:
Obviously, running the diesel generator reduces my fuel mileage. Even when it is not needed, I run the generator on a regular basis per the PowerTech owner's manual. That may mean running the generator for up to 30 minutes every ten days or so just to make sure everything stays in working order.

With the lights, roof rack, lift, etc... my SMB is not very aerodynamic. As such, I start to pay a pretty big penalty for traveling at speeds above 60mph and/or traveling into a strong head-wind.

The above data is for the SMB only (not towing anything).

Typically the fuel load in the 46 gallon tank is greater than 50% and my 16 gallon water tank has remained full.

Van has always been fully packed with all of our camping gear.

I get:

- 13 MPG at about 50 MPH
- 10 MPG at about 70 MPH
- 8 MPG at about 85 MPH

- about 10 MPG when backcountry exploring [dirt, 4x4]

I was able to get 14.5MPG on my old EB 4x2 w/ 5.9L gas

I generally find a semi going 70MPH and draft! Since I carry the whole family, I cannot go 80 in the left lane.

Strictly highway, I average 20 MPG, 69 MPH @ 2000 RPM.

In mixed city driving it's all over the place with a low of around 13 MPG (including a bunch of idling) and a high of about 16 MPG.

I have stock size tires, 2WD and weigh in just under 9,000 lbs wet (all tanks full, my stuff, no people.) The SCT Live Wire tuner ("TOW 50" setting) gave me almost 2 MPG over stock on the highway. I can't really see any difference in city driving but the throttle is more responsive.
