Low Temp Anti-Gel Diesel Fuel Additive

Curious if anyone has a favorite brand of additive that they know plays nicely with a D5 diesel furnace. The D5 literature says no additives in the fuel...

We live in the Bay Area but often find ourselves in the mountains in the winter. I always make a point of filling up with fuel that has the additive blended into it when we get to elevation (and cold), but one of these days I won't be able to and I want a bottle of the correct additive with me.

Thanks in advance!

Howe's, available at any truck stop or store in America. Used by about every trucker on the road. I have found it much cheaper at truck dealers than truck stops, as in 21.99 at Pilot and 7.95 across the street at a Volvo/Mack dealer at the same exit. Insane what truck stops charge.

One bottle treats 320 gallons I think.

Your Espar/Webasto or whatever does NOT care, it works fine with this stuff. I've been treating all winter and running my D2 nightly and just about every other modern rig on the road does this too.

Looks like this:

Well OK then. I like Lubrication Specialists brand of additive. Live in CO and tried several of them but seem to like Hot Shots Secret brand from these guys. No scientific data to back up my choice. I have tried the Amsoil stuff but my Espar seemed to pump out a lot of smoke when using that stuff.
