I've though about that too. Pretty easy conversion, and all the welds would be hidden except the roof (but at that point you could just do a raised roof which would be easier than the finish work on the roof surface weld). But after driving the C5500, I'm not a fan at all.

PS - Here's a place for dually van fenders. They sell mostly Ford, but they can make Chevy fenders too:
