Need help in the field

First real outing. Left the manual home.
AC elec prob.
Plug into elec at te campground and the microwave clock shows so i know power is on. I get AC only at the outlet under the bed. No other ac outlets are working. Turned breakers off and on a few times and no luck. The ac outlets worked a month or so ago when testef. Is there a switch or something I am forgetting?

A connection could have come loose. First time out could shake it loose. Start at the last working outlet and remove the faceplate, check for loose wires.

It sounds like you need to reset the GFCI on one of the outlets. Look at the outlets that you have and see if they have a TEST and RESET button in the front between the two plug outlets. Make sure the reset button is pressed in. Usually for GFCI you start the circuit with the GFCI oulet and run the rest of the outlets in series behind the GFCI. That way the whole circuit is protected. If they are all out but one that would be my guess.

When the GFCI is tripped that outlet goes out as well, but all the outlets are tied to the one GFCI so it does mean that all the other outlets come from that one, so your loose wire is likely at or after the GFCI one. Wait, rereading: If the GFCI is tripped they're all out.

If you have power at the one and the microwave then maybe you have power to the fridge, and other outlets... not sure what all is plugged in where at your van, but power to some and not others means that the others might be bad (not loose at the GFCI)

You can always run a quick extension cord just to get by until you have time to take it apart... assuming you carry one.

First, thanks to all for the replies.

I'd tried the GFI before posting - I only found one on the outside outlets. Tripped and reset to be sure. It hadn't made any difference.

I since found a 2nd outlet working. The one under the seat works and has the fridge plugged in it. The one behind the Microwave works and has that plugged in. The outlet next to the driver door, in the closet on the driver side are still out as is the one above the stove on the passenger side and the outside outlet.

I haven't been able to check the wiring yet. If I can't find anything, I will just get 2 extension cords as suggested.

D, make sure you reset the breakers to the full off position (push firmly off) before kicking them back on. Do they all feel normal when switching them on and off? I don’t know how your van is wired but if SMB used the quick connects on the receptacle than can be a problem. I prefer using the standard screw terminals even though 90% of the housing electricians use the quick connects. Sometimes just wiggling the wires will restore power to the plug. If one of the breakers can shut down the plugs that are operating it might even be a loose wire at another breaker (if the AC is routed that way). Good luck on your problem.

I had a GFI go out in the van, but the test and reset buttons worked as normal! I replaced the GFI and it fixed the problem.

There is a breaker for the GFI and one for the AC. If you have a tester check the plug for a full 110 volts.(the 30amp you plug into)

Something more, you get air from under seat. Is it cold air? Could be you just have a vent blocked or smashed by some gear. Is it a starcool unit?

Vents under the bed are for Heat, upper vents for AC. Check the thermostat is in the cool setting. I had a thermostate go bad acted a little like this
