I have a 2018 Ford Transit 350 Cargo Van (EcoBoost), High-Roof, Extended-Length that I'm trying to design with SMB for full timing.

I ordered the van myself and expect delivery late August.

Has anyone else done a similar conversion?

Lots and lots of these builds on the Ford Transit USA forum but the site is run amuck with arguments and every topic goes off topic never to return.

Many of us would love it if more Transit builds showed up here!

I am finalizing my SMB design for an early September build date (about 7 weeks from now). I still have many decisions to make and would appreciate critical feedback. I can make changes (layout, options, etc.) up until that date.

I ordered a 2018 Ford Transit HR EL with the exact options I wanted and took advantage of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter production delays to take the rare early SMB build slot opening in 7 weeks (typically build slots are ~18 months out or more).

I this thread the right place for this? Are there other forums that are also appropriate to solicit the feedback I want?

I too have a Transit order in with Ford but mine is going to Quigley first so I'm going to miss that window and will have to wait until the beginning of 2019. I think I have a layout that will work but have until Oct to fine tune...lots of nuances to address.

What kind of questions do you have? Lots of people know this stuff front and back so ask away.

Great blog, bidgoodr! Thanks for sharing!

My Transit is @ SMB now, and I plan to post some photos and thoughts as things move along.
