Hey Ya'll and You's guys,
We are Gene (Brooklyn Yankee) and Nancy (Alabama redneck), new members to the forum. We live in Jacksonville, Florida. We have been married for 43 fun lovin' years. We are proud new owners of an SMV West Ford E350 RB50 conversion, 2013. We will take possession of it on Sept 15th. We have been reading the forum and built our rig around your suggestions. We included all bells and whistles that you suggested, including 4x4, v-10. We love your stories, videos, and comments, and we hope we can contribute in our future adventures. We are retired, have lived many varied and charmed lives, including military service in Vietnam.

Thanks for all your advice and comments, and we look forward to chatting with you. Of course, we'll post pics later.

Nancy & Gene O'Donnell

Re: new members

We picked up our van in Fresno on Sep 16, 2013. Got ck'd out and camped in sequoia nat'l parks. Then on to Arizona and the hot wx to visit relatives. We started our trek toward FL via Az, Co, Ks, Ok, Ar, Tn, Nc, Sc. Our van did great, operated as advertised, but gas mlg avg 9.5. Not a real surprise. Our next trip is Alaska, maybe 2014. Found out we need steps to ck oil and wash windshield. What a fun van!
