New (to me) Sportsmobile! T-Molding, furnace

I recently bought a 1999 Dodge Sportsmobile. We're really excited!!

The PO got everything up and running (it had sat for a few years), so I've mostly got some little tweaks here and there to make it perfect.

1. T-Molding: It is in bad condition. It appears it has hardened and shrunk over the years. I have searched all over the internet, and can't find exactly what was used by Sportsmobile. It is lipped and the spline is offset. Anyone know where I can get that stuff? If not, any suggestions on replacing it with something else?

2. Furnace: Hot, but smells. It smells maybe like "new furance" smell. We burned it for several hours and the smell didn't go away. The PO says he never used it (never used the furnace, the Starcool, water, or the penthouse). I'm going to let it burn all day in the near future, and see if that helps.

This forum is great! Thanks

First off congratulations on your SMB....
Second...I'd contact SMB and see if you can get the replacement molding from them.

Could the furnace be accumulated dust over the years? Try taking the inside cover off and either vacuuming or blowing it out. From the outside, blow in the lower opening and see what comes out the top.
