Penthouse Lifetime Warranty Question

We bought our SMB used off the pre-own section on SMB's site.

Does the Penthouse warranty still stand even though we aren't the original owners?

As I understand it, it does but you have to go to SMB for an official answer. The (formerly) leaky roof has been the most unhappy part of my SMB ownership, but Sportsmobile was willing to have me bring the van in at any time to have it worked on for the roof.

No concessions were made for food, shelter, mileage or shipping however after a bit of badgering on my part they did ship me a partial box of hardware that allowed me to finally fix the leak. Had they applied the same hardware at either of my visits (one in TX, one at West) my outlook would have been a lot better.

Also I believe that part of the reason SMB TX did not find the leak was that they apparently sprayed the top with the top UP instead of down, and thus that would lead me to guess that, at least as far as Texas interprits it the leak proof guarentee holds for when the top is up as well.

Again, you have to go to SMB for and official answer but I certainly can't deny that the intention to repair leaks was never questionable.

Just curious, but where is it stated that there is a lifetime warranty on the penthouse? The following is snipped from the warranty information in my owners manual. There is a separate warranty for the 4x4 components.

Charlie, i don't know where it says anything because i don't have a manual. Our SMB is used.

However on their website... under general info page it says

hehehehhe forgot i read it somewhere.

I just want the rubber black seal at the bottom replaced and some of those black rubber rivots. I already fixed the problem but i'd like new if i can some day.

Where did you get the black plastic rivets? I've been looking for that aS well. What about the seal? I'm looking for that as well. I got replacement tape for where the PHT meets the metal. SMB sent it to me free of charge.
