Pop top cleaning
Hi all,
Well, after 16 years of doing this not very well, I feel the need to really wash and wax the pop top. I have washed it when I do the body, but waxing is difficult to figure out. How do others do it? Thanks for any suggestions.

I've washed my PH top lots of times, even scrubbing with a brush, etc., but I never got it REALLY clean until this weekend when I borrowed my dad's high-end Graco pro pressure washer 3200 psi). Wow! It looks almost new. It's amazing the embedded dirt it cleaned off.

Thanks all. The "Wax on, wax off" is good, not for me but..... Now, the trick is the waxing. I can get it clean with various cleaners, but the waxing part, I'm nervous about leaning over and trying to get it all waxed and then off. Is there a liquid wax, I know not the best, that might do it?
Again, thanks all.

I always used Hastings hard carnuba wax and it's a job for sure. Having a rack on top would have made it nearly impossible to wax and why I switch to Rhino lining. On my boat I used Attwood liquid wax and a similar product made by Starbrite. With a white PH top I didn't want anything that discolor the top. Maybe research boater wax for fiberglass.

I am debating to have the top line-x for better protection and virtually maintenance free.

Just to bring this thread back to life,I am about to get a PH top added at SMB and was wondering whether it is worth it to get the top painted (Oxford White) or just go with the Gel finish and try and get a good wax on it.Am also adding a Aluminess rack so access to it with the rack on might be limited.
I also see some guys are Raptor lining them,is this a SMB addition or did you do it yourselves.
