Pop Top Material Question- 303 fabric guard

I picked up some 303 fabric guard that states clearly "do not use on vinyl, clear vinyl, plastics, rubber...Damage WILL result!!

I thought OK, I'll tape off the windows. But now I am wondering if the outside of the material is considered vinyl and the inside canvas???
They are definitely two different textures and looks like a laminate. Any help here?
