Recommendation for new tires

Would appreciate recommendations for new tires. Right now I have a set of Firestone Transforce HT tires, size LT245/75R16, on the van. I do not go off road any, just highway and city driving. Another thing is that I do not drive very much and I question the practicality of buying the latest and the greatest, so to speak, but that has been a habit of mine that is hard to break. All comments/recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks,
James

For exclusively **on-highway driving**, it seems you can't go wrong with the Michelin LTX series of tires.

They're available in both LT (general passenger/pickup) and E-rated (higher-load-rating) versions.

I second the LTX's, have them on my Chevy pickup, E's on my van.

Have had the Michelin LTX E-rated tires on my 2WD SMB for lots of miles and have been very happy with them.

Thanks everyone. I'll be putting on the Michelin LTX E-rated tires tomorrow!

If your budget constrains you, the Transforce you have now is a really great highway tire. I like Michelins too but I've never bought them due to price.
