Size of Sportsmobile Awning

Can someone tell me what the length and width of the Sportsmobile awning is? If you have one, is the size adequate, too big, too small? I'm working on making a portable one. The space will be used by two people for shade, not rain. Thanks. oclv

9'-4" long (parallel with van)
7'-0" deep (perpendicular with van.
8'-0" high with poles fully extended.
Haven't used it much to judge the size.

We've used ours in both sun and rain. It works well. For shade, it works better if the sun is coming from the other side of the van, but it works in any case.

I got tired of trying to anchor the awning legs in the wind, so I mounted the Fiamma brackets to the van and now the awning legs mount to the van for a more stable awning.
