Ethereal, do you have pics and / or a wiring diagram on how your unit is wired to start the A/C?

Do you mean how the van's overall 120 VAC system is wired, or the internal mod I made to the A/C so the inverter would spin up the compressor?

The inverter (MagnaSine 2812) is described here. It's wired in a standard manner (now): shore/generator (controlled by auto transfer switch) to MS 2812, MS 2812 to load center.

The hard-start capacitor is here. It wires in parallel with the compressor motor's run capacitor. (If that doesn't mean anything to you, let me know. I'll try to locate some of the sources I used to figure out what it meant.)
