Thanks man, can't seem to post/link gallery pics on here any more. Always get an error...right about the time of the management change. Hmm.

Re: SMB was stolen last night

I am so sorry to hear.

I had a cherry 1991 Honda CRX Si stolen and stripped to the chassis about 5 years ago. Not nearly what you have invested in your SMB, but a unique vehicle none the less.

I am not pleased about the leniency toward crime and criminals in our state. We need some of that Texas justice Willie and Toby sing about in "Beer for my horses..."

Hang a few car thieves and the word will get around.

My Dodge Ram was stolen right before I bought my SMB. That was last Labor Day. Now I'm vanless. F**k!

Just spent $2000 on solar and tires too

Re: SMB was stolen last night

That just sucks. I hate people sometimes (using "people" loosely here). Were you the one who had your ignition switch tampered with not too long ago? (Just curious.)

I've always noticed/liked your SMB when I see it here. I had a '97 RB with a 5.4, PH top and "the stripes," but always wished I had the Voyager top!

A friend of mine lives in the bay area (not SF proper though) and has had his car stolen twice now. The stupid thing is that he (purposely) only buys super crappy old Saturns. People still take them The first time he had a lot of favorite hiking/camping gear in the car though

Even though the odds may be long, I'm going to hope some cosmic hope that you get it back, safe and sound.

The weird thing is, even though it's a cool rig it seems like a funny one to steal (?). I guess I don't know how car thievery works, exactly, but I'd think you'd either want something really valuable (newish SMB bristling with Aluminess, etc.) in order to make it worth it to transport it in a trailer and then part it out, or something maybe older but nondescript (which a striped SMB with a Voyager top is not exactly) (maybe they think the stripes are easily removed vinyl.... ha ha on them).

Well anyway,

I would look for it down by the river.

Good luck!
