This is almost the identical setup that we were considering and comparing against a Sportsmobile. The cost of the truck and TC as significantly less expensive. However, since either vehicle would be my every day driver (at least for a couple years) the Sportsmobile won out. If you want more details into what went into our thought process, please let me know.

I looked at the Earth Roamer, Xplorer, Revcon, and the Chinook Baja. I’m glad I went with the SMB because none of the other rigs could travel half of the trails I have been on. They are all too tall, too wide, or have poor departure angle. But the extra room would be nice. One of these pulling a jeep would be a nice option if you can afford it. Some people don't want to do heavy off roading and a stock 4x4 vehicle might be fine.
