Stop stuff from, falling out the door when you open it
Is there available some kind of raised border piece to attach to the door sill area so things that have vibrated their way onto the floor dont roll out the door after it is opened.
Ive almost lost my cell and other things. It doesnt happen often, but sometimes I forget and just lay my cell phone or whatever down on my lap, seat, floor etc. The vibrations from driving causes loose items to migrate to the floor. I have gotten out and many times as I get in the cab to leave,I have seen the item on the ground.
Im concerned about when I dont see or hear it roll out and strike the ground. I cant fix my attention or memory issue,so I need a backup insurance item.
Ive seen some of you are gadget inventors so have at it. BTW Any royalties on ideas? >10 cent per?

Double stick tape (Lowes $2.46) and one 8' length of quarter round trim (Lowes $3.97). Cut to fit. There's enough to do every door a couple of times. Place so the quarter round is facing inward. That way if anything lands on top it might slide towards the step well and not the door.
Paint is optional.

Usually a floor mat keeps that stuff from falling out...at least the ones I have in my van. The link shown are nice but mine has a short lip all the way around.
I have the Weather Tech in my work truck. They are smoother and if something get to the mat, it's gonna move towards the door. Anything too tall on the entry side creates a tripping problem for me.

BTW I know nothing about this site, it's only to show the mats.

Re: Stop stuff from, falling out the door when you open it
We have to keep stuff of all kinds secured in these rigs, especially when off road. For small items that I access often, I use trays, small plastic crates or wire baskets on the floor next to the seats. When off roading, everything on the counter, the gaucho seat, and the door mounted cabinet ends up on the floor, so I just put it all on the floor before leaving the pavement. Especially camera gear.

Are those Instamatic cameras worth that much?
