Thanks! Out of curiousity, which rear tire carrier do you have on your van?

Do you have a receiver hitch mounted under there?

My 285's fit underneath, have to grind the tabs that make the stock tire fit snug though.

My 265's fit under my E350 for the short time before I went to 285's. I will say that it "just fit".

Ive got the Aluminess tire carrier, it's expensive, well built, and it allows me to have two spares. I've wrecked several tires, and once you put the spare on, should you get another flat, your pretty much out of luck. Every flat I've had has been well off the grid.

FWIW, I carry a 275/70R18 in the stock location. IIRC I may have bent the tabs up a bit, I don't think I'm fully maxed out either.

That's a 33 1/2" tire, and wider would just hang down a little lower.

Oh, and Boywonder there is a uhaul hitch mounted under there. Looks like that will have to be removed or relocated. Don't use it anyway.. just liked it as a tow/pull point.

I have a hitch on mine and it still fits when the tabs were removed. It hang's a little lower, when I get home I can take some pictures if you like.

Thanks for the offering the pics, but it's not necessary. I get the idea...
