U joint Sienna Seat Mounts

Finally completed the sienna front seat swap with Ujoints kit:

1) if you are considering and debating....stop and just do it. Amazing difference in comfort.

2) The Ujoint adapters are a phenomenally engineered and manufactured kit, really nicely done!

Very cool --- please post some pictures!

Also --- could you perhaps describe how you went about sourcing the Sienna seats themselves? Curious if that was a lengthy Craigslist-search process, or if they're more readily found via other means.

Not sure which year seats are compatible, but try searching LKQ autoparts.

How big a job was it? Couple of hours or all day?

There are a few solid sources for these. Some might be in this thread; https://expeditionportal.com/forum/t...-seats.114704/
Otherwise, PM me and I can help direct you to a good source.

I got my mounts from MG at expovans too. I wanted mine higher off the floor (sprinter) and at a different angle that was more comfortable and more compatible with car seats, so he made me a custom set.

I’ve bought 6 sienna seats, all on eBay, brand new take offs.

Sorry all-- a new job distracted me from my van job :-)

1) Sienna Seats: I bought from Ebay and that seems to be the best source. I held out for many months for them to show up (in gray) and for my bank account to be ready for them. Brand new take-offs appear frequently on Ebay.

2) Installation. I did a bunch of stuff while doing the seats...so hard to say how long it took exactly. I'd guess the 1st one took 3-4 hours total, the 2nd was probably 2 hours. The installation instructions are really good on the Sienna kit.

And the kit is UJoint off-road, not MG! it is a beautiful piece of kit.

FYI, I also bought his replacement fuel tank for vans with a 4x4 conversion, and it works great. His pictures on his website suck--but his support and the tank itself is perfect.

Ebay is a great source for the Sienna's. There are a few other key sources too.

In case you're not familiar with the E-Series/Sienna seat history, MG(ExpoVans) designed the first Sienna mounts and full installation instructions, then UJOR started offering them. They are very robustly engineered.

Glad it all came together for you!
