Not crazy about the Aluminess Nerf bars for the Sprinter. The Aluminess ladder is being delivered and installed at Overland Expo.

Not a SMB but capable

I saw this Landcruiser yesterday in Juneau Ak. It has 450Watts of solar, sand ladders on the back, a well used Hilift, BFG mud terrains and three different navigation systems, It was well used, and clearly, by looking at all the stickers, it had been driven all over the planet for many years. The best part was that the driver was an older woman in her 80's I'd guess, (hope she doesn't read this ) and she was alone. She was looking for a wilderness campsite and said she always avoids campgrounds. My kind of gal. Anyone recognize the where the license plate is from?

That would be Julia. She is Italian and has been all over. Recently broken down in Baja with a cracked open Transfer Case.

I have her phone number if you want it.

Ramsey, It's amazing that you met her. She was having some additional issues, but nothing serious and was on her way to the interior of Alaska. As for needing her phone number, I'll pass, Mrs A/T keeps me plenty busy.

Actually, it's not bad. A couple weeks would be plenty of time if you had a pressing schedule. No matter what route you take, you have to catch a ferry as there are no roads into Juneau. From the Mexican border to the Bellingham ferry terminal is an easy three or four day drive. Or you could add a couple days and drive to Prince Rupert to catch the ferry there. The ferry ride from P/R is about four days. Or, you could easly drive all the way to Skagway in four or five more days where you would again catch a ferry for a 4 hour trip. Still, it would be silly to travel that fast if you had a choice. Far better would be to spend several weeks or more exploring. Actually, a couple months would be even better.........
