Which Ford dealer would you contact to buy a new diesel van?

Hello,

I am looking for advise:
Which Ford dealer would you recommend for their knowledge of the product, information, service and why not good deal?

Not being in the States doesn't help getting information so I am planning a trip on the west coast to see the van and conversions in view of buying one.

Thanks for your "topic or PM" answers,

Andrew

Andrew, If I understand your question, you can buy your van directly from Sportsmobile in Fresno, California. The folks at Sportsmobile West are very friendly, and will give you a tour of the factory.

And you should act quickly if you plan to buy a diesel, there's a thread on the forum that said Ford is going to stop offering diesel engines in their vans soon.

I would highly recommend the Fleet Department at Landmark Ford in Tigard, OR. They have a good understanding of Ford's Special Vehicle Order process, which many dealers won't deal with.

They are also the preferred dealer with QuadVan. While you are on the west coast, I strongly suggest a visit to QuadVan in NW Portland. Their work certainly impressed me. (You can take the train there from the airport with 1 transfer and a 5 min walk).

I second the Fleet Department. I've heard they are used to dealing over the net, and you cut out the sales people that way.

Going through SMB is probably not a bad idea either.

If you are interested in a Quigley 4x4, there are probably 50 Ford diesels (2008 and 2009) in stock either at Quigley or various dealers around the country. See link below. They also showed several GM vans with diesels. I bought mine through Warnock Ford in NJ, but ran the paperwork through my local dealer in Indiana. I talked to the fleet guy at my dealer and he added a couple hundred dollars for his trouble and that was OK with me. No problems, then I just took it to SMB Indy for the conversion.
