Winch on stock bumper

Has anyone mounted a winch on a stock bumper? I saw it in this catalog image online. It not sure if it's just a mockup or something?

I believe Quadvan does a stock bumper winch mount for the newer front clip vans ('08 & up) but it is tucked in behind the front bumper. Haven't heard of one for the older style front bumpers. I hope I am wrong because I would like a winch on my 2000 SMB with stock front bumper.

Wow! I emailed quadvan and John got back to me instantly. They still make the plate for up to a 16k winch

This was his response to the photo posted above..

"We made that one on that van. It was originally designed to work with our brush guards we still sell the mounts as a kit for about 450 and up depending on winch 9k to 16.5 and it can fit in the same place just a bit tighter. This is the VR 12000 with wireless fob great winch. "

Thanks for sharing. I've debated one-offing a place off and on, but don't quite trust myself to eyeball something I can dangle the entire van from.

That said, I'm hopefully I'll never need a winch. Still nice to have something ready to go, if I was to ever drop a wheel off the side of a trail...

Wondering if you were able to get one of these from Quadvan? They have a disclaimer on there site that says they don't ship accessories.

Quigley used to have a mount for the stock 2008+ bumpers. Maybe check with them, too.

I tried them this morning. No dice! I just know how hard it can be to get a hold of anyone at quadvan. But worth a shot I guess.
