Re: Rock sliders

That is exactly my point. The drawing looks like a nerf bar. How has it been designed to handle the weight of the van so it functions as a slider and doesn't result in the damage to the nerf bar...

Re: Ford Dual Battery Setup

At one point I ran across the year Ford started wiring them in Parrallel vice Starter/Aux. I want to say it was after 2010, but I'm just guessing.

Anyway, one is located under the hood. The...

Re: TrueTrac vs. E-Locker for front axle?

Another thumbs up for TrueTrac in the front! Had that set-up on my SMB and loved it.

WAY more useful for 95-99% of the time. For the rare instances where a locker would make the difference,...

Re: Ford Dual Battery Setup

Just picked up a 2014 V8 which came with dual batteries. They are wired from the factory in parallel. It would really be nice to separate them since two for starting is really overkill.

Has...

Re: limited slip front diff use in snow and ice/ throttle co

Finally got a chance to get my van into snow in CO. Got to go slow through snow about 6-12 inches deep up a very long drive. Also got to try using it at highway speeds on a snow-covered I-70.

Monday is a no-go for me. Let me know if there is a Sunday only option and I will re-attack with the "Large Family".

Re: Props to Peoria Ford, AZ

Yea, finding someone good to work on the van is a challenge for sure. Expertise (especially with the 6.0L) seems to be few and far between.

The tech noticed my slight bed plake leak. They quoted...

Re: Large Family Sportsmobile

Yea, a "Transformer" would have been the way to go. But, I was lusting after the 6.0L at the time and I couldn't order a 12 passenger van with the 6.0L...

That's ok. We're gonna take a trip "to...

Re: limited slip front diff use in snow and ice/ throttle co

Heading into snow country for the first time in about a month. Will try to...
